Football Game Volunteers
For every home football game, we need volunteers for several roles, none of which require special training or skills. You can volunteer once, or take on a role for the whole season. Please look over the list below, then contact Ginny Cate to let her know how you would like to help.

1. 50/50 Raffle ticket sales (3-4 volunteers)
Sell 50/50 Raffle tickets in both the home and visitor stands during the football game, from 7pm through the middle of the third quarter. Look for familiar faces in the crowd, catch up with old friends, make new friends, get a little exercise, and help the band! Cute apron included.

2. Concessions (2 volunteers)
Band parents are needed to staff the Marching Band window during 3rd quarter only.

3. Parent to accompany the band to the field (1 volunteer)
Just to be there should something come up!

4. Chaperones (1-2 volunteers)
These parents sit just behind the band in the stands during the game to be official points of contact should the need arise.

5. Spirit Wear Sales (1 volunteer)
Assist with sales at the spirit wear table before the game.

6. Pit Crew (12 volunteers)
The pit refers to the large instruments that are set up in front of the marching field. Pit volunteers help the students roll the instruments down to the stadium and assist them with setting up during home football games. At the end of the half-time show, they help get the instruments off the field and back to the band room.

You can also volunteer to help with the pit at our competitions. Pit volunteers help load/unload the Bandwagon truck and will assist in getting instruments and props on and off the field during the show, as needed by Mr. Johnson.

Winter Drumline

Before February 9, 2013 (first competition):
1) Volunteers to lead and assist with costume preparation
2) Volunteers to paint the drumline floor

For each competition:
1) 4-6 parents to help with costumes and make-up & to serve as chaperones
2) 6-8 parents for the show running crew (help move the floor and move equipment out for     performances)

Fairfax Jazz

Parents of the Jazz Ensemble students assist by transporting the band and their gear to competitions and other performances outside of FHS. Please contact the Jazz Ensemble Parent Coordinators
